During the MV Agusta network, the 600 is affectionately known as ‘The Black Pig’. It’s one of the ugliest motorcycles ever made, however perhaps so unpleasant that it transcends fashion and fashion. Handiest 127 have been built, between 1967 and the early Nineteen Seventies, and this one is #11. It changed into the second one six hundred to visit the usa, and became the motorcycle photographed through the factory for the owner’s manual—its body number seems absolutely within the images. All the 600s were black, for this reason the ‘Black Pig’ name, except one blue motorcycle and one yellow motorcycle. (There’s also rumor that the manufacturing facility built a purple machine, however the works records don’t point out it—not unusual with Italian producers.)
This precise authentic and unrestored Agusta at the beginning belonged to Alan Elderton, the long-time Chairman of the MV Agusta owners club GB. “bikes may be emotional things at instances,” says contemporary proprietor Dorian Skinner, “and while Alan’s widow requested if I would like to take over the six hundred i used to be really overwhelmed. It’s a cute bike to ride, in a laidback kind of way. The manufacturing facility quoted 60 hp at 8,000 rpm, however with a dry weight of over 220 kg (485 lbs) you could consider that it doesn’t set the road alight. But however, it changed into never designed to. And with the ones mechanical front discs it’s in no way a dull journey!”
